biofuels and biorefineries
Stanley Consultants serves biofuels clients throughout the United States. Our broad industrial and agricultural facilities experience, combined with our process knowledge and capability, allows these clients to increase their profit margins through improved energy efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, reduced downtime, and increased production.
We can develop a facility design to meet the requirements and constraints of any new, emerging technology that improves energy performance or value. This includes bio and renewable diesel projects, first generation corn ethanol facilities, energy efficiency improvements and low carbon footprint improvements to first generation ethanol plants, second-generation cellulosic ethanol facilities, and the development of biorefinery facilities.
We team with strategic partners to validate and develop new technologies, looking to assemble the systems into biorefinery applications. In some cases, this includes renewable cogeneration with biomass or biogas fuels. We can create a thermal and mass balance model of your existing facility and identify potential process improvements to increase capacity or reduce operating costs through more efficient operation. This is done using the state-of-the-art process modeling software, Aspen Plus. The model can also be used to predict performance with emerging technologies, thus allowing our clients to reduce debt financing and investment risks.
