Guam Office

Office Manager (Resident Manager) (10069)

Position will require the member to be able to provide local support, engineering/architectural design, project coordination, and new business development support to customers at NAVFAC Marianas, Andersen AFB, and local design-build contractors. Member will also be responsible for providing technical support on DOD projects in the region on Task Orders for USACE, NAVFAC, and the US Air Force. Member will coordinate regularly with other consultants and design-build contractors on the island, maintain positive and collaborative relationships, and stay aware of opportunities for new projects as part of the Guam build-up. Member may be given engineering tasks to support remotely, and member shall be capable of working with minimal supervision. As the Guam office grows, member may be responsible for supervising other junior staff or administrative staff members. Member will have responsibility for managing Guam office budget, appearance, and external relationships with customers and industry partners.

Qualifications:
1. Individual shall have some experience as a Project Manager on $20 million projects or larger assignments. Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams is a plus.
2. Individual shall be a self-starter with the ability to not only complete engineering projects with remote support, but also to be able to investigate new business opportunities and report them to the appropriate Project Principal for follow up.
3. Individual shall be willing to perform limited travel around the Pacific in support of regional projects in Japan, Korea and Hawaii.
4. Individual shall be capable of supporting projects outside his or her own discipline, which may include, but is not limited to—presentations to customers and industry partners; technical project coordination; project design.
5. Experience with USACE and NAVFAC projects is a significant plus.
6. Experience with design-build project delivery is a significant plus.
7. Individual shall have at least 7 years of professional experience.
8. Individual shall be able and willing to obtain licensure on Guam within 6 months, including taking and passing any tests required by the Guam PEALS board for local licensure.
9. Registered architect or PE

Four year degree in engineering or architecture is required.
